Scope: The Best Buy te@ch program recognizes creative uses of interactive technology in K-12 classrooms. Winning te@ch programs focus on kids using technology to learn standards-based curriculum, rather than on teaching students to use technology or educators using technology that children aren't able to use hands-on. The purpose of te@ch is to reward schools for the successful interactive programs they have launched using available technology. Please do not be discouraged if your school does not have the most current equipment. |

| Inspired Teacher Scholarships |

Scope: Inspiration Software is offering scholarships to educators who demonstrate innovation in integrating and promoting visual learning in the classroom.
Scholarships must be used to defray costs incurred by scholarship winners to attend workshops, conferences or graduate courses that focus on visual learning and technology in education.

Eligibility: Candidate must be employed as an educator in a K-12 (age 5 & up) school or institute of higher learning and have at least one year of continuous service as an educator. Candidates should demonstrate direct contact with students when completing the application process. |

| Learning and Leadership Grant |

Scope: Grants support public school teachers, public education support professionals, and/or faculty and staff in public institutions of higher education for one of the following two purposes:
- Grants to individuals fund participation in high-quality professional development experiences, such as summer institutes or action research.
- Grants to groups fund collegial study, including study groups, action research, lesson study, or mentoring experiences for faculty or staff new to an assignment.

Funding Level: The grant amount is $2,000 for individuals and $5,000 for groups engaged in collegial study. |
Eligibility: Applicants must be practicing U.S.
public school teachers in grades K–12,
public school education support professionals, or
faculty and staff at public higher education institutions.

Comments: Preference will be given to members of the National Education Association. The NEA Foundation encourages grant applications from
teachers with less than seven years of experience in the profession
education support professionals (including
para-educators, school bus drivers, maintenance and custodial staff, food services staff, school nurses and student services workers, clerical and office assistants, school security officers, and technicians.)

Scope: Toshiba America Foundation awards grants for programs and activities that improve the classroom teaching and learning of science, mathematics and technology for students in grades K-12. Projects should provide direct benefits to students and should include teacher-led, classroom-based experiences. Technology and Media Services for Individuals with Disabilities |

Scope: The purpose of the Technology and Media Services for Individuals with Disabilities program is to: (1) Improve results for children with disabilities by promoting the development, demonstration, and use of technology, (2) support educational media services activities designed to be of educational value in the classroom setting to children with disabilities, and (3) provide support for captioning and video description that is appropriate for use in the classroom setting.

Scope: An annual award designed to honor educators in grades K–12 or equivalent who are making an outstanding and innovative contribution to the use of technology in reading education.
